Selected Year 10 & 11 students attended the 71st RSL Schools Remember ANZAC Commemoration at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park. The service aims to educate school students about Australia’s military history, whilst paying respect to the service and sacrifice of servicemen and women of the Australian Defence Force.

As Australia and the Commonwealth commemorate Remembrance Day, Parramatta Marist High School Year 10 student Lucas McClintock has highlighted the importance of remembering the service and sacrifice of Australia’s servicemen and women after being among a group of 20 students selected for the prestigious 2023 Premier’s ANZAC Memorial Scholarship tour of Darwin and Singapore.
The Education Mass gathered students of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Parramatta to join with Principals, Religious Education Coordinators and Diocesan Priests to celebrate their role in the mission of the Church.
The most special day on the Parra Marist calendar was celebrated with a beautiful mass in the morning, the announcement of the prestigious Champagnat Award winners, followed by an afternoon of fun rides, games and activities at school.
On Good Friday, students from Years 10 to 12 were given the opportunity to partake in the Diocese of Parramatta Good Friday Walk facilitated by the Catholic Youth Parramatta.
Beginning teachers, new school principals and leaders gathered for a moving celebration at St Patrick’s Cathedral Parramatta as Bishop Vincent Long and Parish Priests blessed and welcomed Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese staff to their new roles.
Congratulations to Jonathan Roukos on receiving the Bishop of Parramatta Award for Student Excellence at the Cathedral on Wednesday night. A truly well deserved award whose citation was superbly read by classmate Jonathan Nemeh.
The Parramatta Marist Year 9 Game Changers were fortunate to partake in their retreat day with St Joseph's Hunters Hill. With Marist Youth Ministry hosting the event, the boys were able to engage in the activities in a fun and productive way, learning all about their Marist characteristic of Simplicity.
