A group of Year 11 VET Business & Financial Services students attended a fantastic business program conducted by AUSSIP from 4th April - 10th April 2019, as part of their workplacement.
AUSSIP are the registered training organisation that co-ordinates our students work placement. The program, running for the first time, integrated various activities that exposed students to real businesses in the local Parramatta community.
The students were engaged in learning about SWOT analysis, job interview techniques, grooming/presentation, communication skills, employment contracts, teamwork building, career pathways and real life problem solving of current business issues.
The students were privileged to lead structured conversations with local business managers in the local area, to understand career pathways and business opportunities.
The student feedback has been extremely positive, particularly on the enthusiasm of the speakers and businesses that came in and networked with them and the relevant skills they have gained.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank AUSSIP for facilitating and organising this opportunity for our students.
