Nash Hawkins receives his Sydney University Year 10 Academic Excellence Award from University's Peter McCallum - Director, Education Strategy
Parramatta Marist High School Year 11 student Nash Hawkins has received a Sydney University Academic Excellence Award for his achievements in his Year 10 examinations and application to studies
In 2018, the University invited schools to nominate a deserving candidate from their most recent Year 10 cohort. Nash was nominated last year and the ceremony was held last month.
Nash is among a select cohort of students from across NSW to receive the Academic Excellence award, which is part of a scheme initiated by the University to acknowledge and encourage academic diligence. The awards allow the University to search for future, talented students and inspire them to consider graduate studies at the University post-school.
Nash is one of our most diligent and academic students. He has now embarked upon his senior school years and continues to challenge himself, always to excel beyond his last best effort. With a passion for Mathematics and the Sciences, his hard work and dedication in these subject areas have led him to undertake an accelerated Mathematics pathway one year prior to sitting his HSC.
At the ceremony, held in the University of Sydney’s Great Hall, Nash accepted his award and medallions from Peter McCallum - Director, Education Strategy at the University of Sydney.
Congratulations on your great achievement Nash - Fortior Ito, Go Forth with Strength!
