The 2019 National Final of Subs in Schools will be hosted by Adelaide's at St Peter's College between the 9th and 11th of December. Fortunately, Parramatta Marist Subs in Schools teams have been awarded a generous grant by the Department of Industry and Science, comprehensively funding materials, specialist resources, travel and accommodation for this event. Twelve students and two teachers will fly from Sydney to Adelaide on Sunday, the 8th of December, staying in nearby Hackney, within walking distance of the venue until their return on the 12th. We also hope to visit our Marist friends while in the south, and tour the Edinburgh RAAF Base.
The four-month process of building and refining a functioning ROV has been extremely challenging for our boys, but they have enjoyed the problem solving process and are keen to meet students from around Australia who have solved these problems in different ways. It promises to be a wonderful opportunity. We wish our teams luck in their preparation to represent Parramatta Marist at the National Level of this esteemed competition.
