On Wednesday 27th Feb, our Year 12 Construction and Engineering students and some enthusiastic Year 10 students attended a presentation by the Civil Construction Federation.
The boys also heard from a local employer, with the General Manager of a Civil Engineering business discussing employment opportunities and career paths.
The industry is linked to the building of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, tunnels and railways. The students gained valuable insight about the industry and a clear understanding of the pathways for entering this growing industry.
The presentation focussed on entry level from Year 12 through to university pathways. Each student received a package with information to follow up as well as networking opportunities for post school options.
