Parramatta Marist Westmead students teaching Mother Teresa Primary students
On Monday 3 June, our young men became teachers of Year 5 and 6 students from Mother Teresa and Sacred Heart Primary Schools.
This day was the final event of their “Level Up” project, which was to create a game that teaches Year 5&6 students about geometry.
All students involved worked together to learn with a purpose. Our boys were patient, informative and hands on with their approach to teaching, and their smaller friends left with smiles on their faces. Well done to all students involved.
Special thanks must go to Ms Megan Gallagher for her ongoing support of our Year 7 STEM and Science students, and to our IT team who diligently prepared the Morley Centre for the big event. We look forward to our next coding project, “Autobus”.
