The students have just completed their integrated project where they have studied world religions and geography. The students had to select either Catholicism or Judaism and then integrate it with geography and technology. The end results were wide and varied and resulted in some interesting Global Connections.

This project was one of the most the most enjoyable project that I have done this how year. Our Driving question, “How does culture, values and belief systems build our connections to places?” Had to be answered in the work that we have been doing during this project. What I have learned during this project was how culture connects us, l also learned that Catholic characteristic can make a place very famous. At the end of the I feet that I have done the best I can and that I have done a very good job and I proud of what I have made.

In term 4, we have been completing the project “Global Connections,” in our CST/HSIE classes. This project covers the religions around the world studying each one individually. As well as learning about trade, technology and how it has helped us, travel and production. Our summative task required us to choose 1 topic in a Geographical and CST aspect that we have learned. My topic was travel and place of worships. It made us use a tissue box to compile a series of items to form a collection/diorama. We had to supply items of our own, such as paper, cardboard, paints, pencils etc. But thanks to Miss. Mari, she supplied us some items to start us off. Overall, I am happy with what I produced within those couple of weeks, even though I had some problems while completing the task.

Our project was called Global Connections. It was about the world and all of its links, and how we are all connected to others and/or people. The driving question "How does culture, values and belief systems build our connections to places?" basically asked how each of the topics stated above helped to link us with people and/or places. If your break this down into parts; culture, values and belief systems are all related to spirituality and/or how we live. It is saying how do these things link/connect us to places, typically related to us like our home country. Our task was to answer this through a diorama which we created by including parts of what we learned in this project which went from people, places and faith, all the way to production and consumption which, in a nutshell, talked about how humans instantly think of materialistic things. Through these topics covered, we were able to start our summative task and include key aspects from what we learned. In the end, I felt it turned out good. I knew and still know that I could have done more things to make it better but I have hope that I did well altogether.

During this HSIE and CST project, we were asked How does culture, values and belief systems build our connections to places?This was our driving question. We had to answer it by making a diorama on two chosen topics a HSIE one and CST one. This project went for the whole term, and we learned lots of things that helped us to answer the driving question. My diorama turned out better than I was expecting, however, my project only consisted of paper, so l could have improved by adding different materials. Overall, this was a good project.

Our project looked at the religions in our world. We learnt some practices of each religion and each of their histories and origins. Our driving question was, ‘How does culture, values and belief systems build our connections to places? Our driving question cover our project by including culture beliefs and religious connections. Our problem statement was ‘How can we as citizens of the world, create a microcosm of faith, people and places so that others can see how multi faith communities co exist in this modern world? The problem statement covered even more of project sincerely describing multi-faith and people and places. The topics we covered in our project were People, Places and Faith, World Religions, international trade, Society and Religion, The five major world religions, Sustainability and Stewardship as well as Production and Consumption. HSIE and Catholic Studies collaborated together in order for students of Year 7 to understand our world's religions. In my project, I was displaying the Birth of Jesus Christ in my assemblage. Undertaking some challenges, I was able to complete a tissue box to send the message of Catholicism and it’s origin.

Our project was based on Religions around the world, mainly the top 5 Religions which is Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism. We learned the practices, traditions, history, and ways of each religion. Our driving question was, ‘How does culture, values and belief systems build our connections to places? The driving question was covered in our Summative by including religious connections,places practices, and cultural beliefs. Our problem statement was ‘How can we as citizens of the world, create a microcosm of faith, people and places so that others can see how multi-faith communities co-exist in this modern world?’ In our project, we covered the topics People, Places and Faith, World Religions, International Trade, Society and Religion, 5 major world religions and Sustainability and Stewardship. I feel like my tissue box came out well, I chose the two topics Practices and Transport.
