We celebrated our Commencement Mass on Tuesday 5 February.
This year we not only celebrated the commencement of another school year but also the 50th anniversary of the graduating class of 1969.
In particular we remembered Professor Chris O'Brien, Parramatta Marist School Captain of 1969 and were fortunate to have Chris’ wife Gail, and daughter Juliette attending the Mass. We were fortunate to welcome back Fr Wim Hoekstra, from the graduating class of 1969.
Our 2019 student school leaders were also officially commissioned with 24 past school Captains and Vice-Captains to support them.
A special thanks to the clergy that celebrated our Mass:

Bishop of Parramatta recognises student excellence
Each year, one Year 12 student in every Catholic secondary school in the Diocese of Parramatta is awarded the Bishop of Parramatta Award for Student Excellence. This prestigious award is nominated by the school principal and recognises a student’s witness to their Catholic faith and outstanding contribution to the school community in areas such as academic excellence, sporting achievement, creative and performing arts, social justice, vocational education and community involvement.
