While many of us rested following a busy Term One, three of our Year 11 students attended the Cochlear Autumn School of Engineering.

For four days Ramzel Liwanag, Michael Evans and Jordan Brownlow were involved in workshops and tours of engineering sites across Sydney. These sites included the RAAF base at Richmond, the ANSTO reactor at Lucas Heights and Cochlear’s Anechoic Chamber at Macquarie Park.

Ramzel, Michael and Jordan spoke with practicing engineers and students from the Engineering faculties of Sydney University, UNSW, Macquarie University, and UTS. The program was busy, involving experiences not usually available to the public.

Photos were prohibited on many of these sites, but the experiences will be remembered. Most importantly, our young men have returned inspired. The experience brought us closer to our ambitions to become engineers

Ramzel Liwanag.

Thank you to Engineers Australia for creating this opportunity.
