At Parramatta Marist, we are very fortunate to have some talented staff.
Our STEM Coordinator, Mr John Phillips, is a trained architect, STEM and physics teacher as well as an artist and Archibald Prize Finalist.
John has very kindly lent the school his painting of Wendy Whiteley which made the finals of the Archibald in 2008.
'Wendy after two cups of coffee' is on display in the Book Nook with another of John's paintings (Sky Opening over Byron pictured below).

Commitment to Close the Gap clear for Western Sydney Catholic schools
Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) has released its first annual Closing the Gap report. This report outlines its contribution to improving socio-economic outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly students and their families. CSPD Chief Executive Officer Jack de Groot said the report reflects the dedication of CSPD’s 6 500 staff in fostering reconciliation and equity through the organisation’s 80 outstanding school across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

Each year, one Year 12 student in every Catholic secondary school in the Diocese of Parramatta is awarded the Bishop of Parramatta Award for Student Excellence.
