Portrait photo of Mr Marshal McMahon

It is with great sadness that we inform you, the Parramatta Marist community, that Mr Marshal McMahon, a long serving educator and leader in Marist schools passed away at home yesterday.

Marshal was a dedicated and well-respected mathematics and physics teacher for well over a decade here at Parramatta Marist. Before serving at Parramatta, Marshal had been the first lay principal of St Gregory's College, Campbelltown, and prior to that (as Br Joseph), the Principal of St Joseph's College, Hunters Hill.

Marshal is fondly remembered by many Old Boys including the HSC Class of 2020 whom he continued to teach (with Mr John Phillips) until he was no longer able to do so.

Our prayers go out to Teresa, his wife, and the McMahon family.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

Amen.
