Skodel at Parramatta Marist

In 2024, Parramatta Marist High School has committed to providing support to staff and students to help understand and put effective measures into place to support the wellbeing of all of our students.

To assist us with this, we have teamed with Skodel.

Skodel is a platform that offers customisable check-ins and surveys, proactive action planning through the use of personalised plans, comprehensive reports for our staff to grasp the matters that are reported, and integrated support from a range of different partnerships Skodel has with educational psychologists.

What is Skodel? It's an innovative platform designed to empower students to regularly check in on their mental health. Through quick and confidential surveys, we aim to proactively address wellbeing concerns and provide timely support.

The implementation of Skodel only after 4 weeks has been extremely successful. Both staff and students have been receptive to engage with this platform, for students to offer a confidential, non confrontational method to communicate with their Year Coordinator and Homeroom Teacher and for our staff to clearly identify key trends holistically across year groups and the school as well as understand their students and how their feeling at any given survey time.

This partnership reflects our dedication to nurturing not just academic excellence but also the holistic development of each student. Together with Skodel, we're taking a proactive approach to wellbeing, creating a safer and supportive space for all.

We're excited about the positive impact this collaboration will have on our school community. You can read more here as we embark on this transformative journey together!
